This item was purchased for a very special 90th Birthday of my Great Uncle. I appreciate you are a charity , however as the item cost £90 I did not expect it to arrive in a very tatty basic / battered cardboard box with one piece of brown paper stuffed in. In addition the plaque on the stand had varnish covering some of the quote ! The actual spitfire was lovely but the stand and packaging really let it down . I was in two minds to return the item but as it arrived only 24 hours before the birthday date I repackaged it myself and hoped the poor quality plaque was compensated by the brass spitfire. Overall I was very disappointed and did not feel the £90 price tag was justified. Regards , Mrs Cater

This is a gift for my husband (next week is his birthday!) It is a really solid heavy item, with a good base. He will love it, I am sure.
